Cave of Pokhara

There are many caves in Pokhara from which Mahendra cave, Bat cave, Gupteshwor Mahadev cave are very famous.
Mahendra cave was first explored by British expedition team in 1978 and again by Daniel Gebuer in 1980. Its total area is about 50 ropanies. The width of entrance is 16 meters and at the centers it is only above 3.5 meter. It is about 215 meters long.
Bat cave is very exciting place to visit. We can see bats hanging over the ceiling. It lies at Batulechaur  which lies just 10 KM far from Lakeside. We can go there by any medium like, bus, taxi, bicycle, or by walking too.
Gupteshwor mahadev cave lies at south east of Pokhara at chhorepatan. It is the gateway of Devi's fall. It was discovered in 1992 and is known for 500 years old. It's ceiling is wet all the time and the drop of water falls continuously due to which the stairs are always wet.but the well-arrangement of light makes the path visible.
