If we study about the physical structure of Pokhara

most precious wealth of pokhara. Since eight number of lake lies in pokhara,
pokhara is also known as the "city of lake". It is the main
destination of nationals and international tourist.

goun at north to Vemadh of Tanahu District at south. Its area is around 850 sq,
km. and is stretched around 50km.
Pokhara valley can be known as intermontone valley.
Pokhara valley is the combined form of different types of physical structure.
Here we can see toll mountains, peak Gorges and ampitheaters, cross and plain
as physical structure. Pokhara valley lies from 850m to 6998m (mount machapuchre)
which shows that it has 30km height difference. This valley has many other
small valley inside it like, sardi-bhurjung river valley (Tallakot), Kudiriver
valley, Lastiriver valley, (Ghachawr) Mardi river (Cahachowk), Chitepaniriver
valley (Puran), Chamdi river valley (Hemja), Kalikh valley (Jogimare), Bijaypur
Kholavalley.
Seti river is the main source of water in pokhara.
It flows from the himal like Annapurna, machapuchre. It has made very
attractive Gorges and ampitheaters in Pokhara valley.

Among all the Gorges of Pokhara the
most deepest gorge lies at mahendrapul which is about 53m deep. It is the
attraction point for many tourist. Pokhara is also famous of the lake lieing
here. eight number of lake lies in pokhara named. Fewalake, Begnas lake Rupalake,
Khaste lake, Ghude lake, Nureni lake lake, Dipang and Maidi among all these Fewa
lake is the most deepest and large in area. Its area use to be 10.1sq. Km till
1960. But today its area is just 4.3Sq. Km.
